Ordering & Delivery

Here at The Online Off Licence we have a choice of delivery options to ensure that your order arrives at its delivery address on time and intact.

Obviously being a UK based company we utilise the resources of the Royal Mail for both our '1st Class' and our 'Standard' shipping service. This gives our customers the choice of a quick and reasonably priced delivery option if you are only wishing to order 1 standard sized bottle, and a value for money service for if you are looking to order in larger quantities. Selecting the 1st Class postage option means that your parcel would normally arrive with the recipient the following working day. Alternatively you can select our 'Standard' parcel service, using this service will mean that you order will arrive with you in 2-3 working days (as we use third parties to carry out our deliveries we cannot guarantee this. However late deliveries are very rare).

We would ask that if your order is required for a specific date (i.e birthday, christmas etc) then please let us know when you place you order so that we can ensure it reaches the recipient in time for their special day.

Delivery Charges

Our delivery charges are based on a weight system (including packaging).

A typical standard sized wine bottle (or spirits bottle) can cost as little as £5.99 to be shipped with our standard service or £6.99 with our 1st class service.

The exact delivery charges will be provided in the checkout process.

Royal Mail postage charges quoted are for all areas of the UK but exclude the Channel Islands. 

If your delivery address is in the Channel Islands, or the Republic of Ireland please e-mail us before you complete your purchase and we will advise how your delivery will be handled.

International Orders

We are pleased to accept orders from customers who have a delivery address outside the United Kingdom.

The rates quoted are for single bottle shipping via Airmail, standard shipping times are approximately 3-5 workings days for Europe, and 5-7 working days for the Rest of the World.
It is very difficult for us to set prices for customers wishing to place orders for more than one bottle when the delivery address is outside the UK.

If you are looking to have an order delivered outside of the UK and you would like more than one bottle then please e-mail us at enquiries@theonlineofflicence.co.uk stating the products and quantities you require and we will get you an exact price for shipping.

Please check with your local authority as The Online Off Licence cannot be held responsible for any alcohol restrictions that may be breached by the importation of your order, also you may be responsible for any alcohol duty and local sales tax.
